Cafe Fiore

It does only have 7 tables. Very quaint, very quiet, service is almost personalized. Its in a quiet part of South Lake Tahoe, easy to find and easy to park.

Chart House Restaurant - Lake Tahoe
392 Kingsbury Grade, Lake Tahoe, Kingsbury,
We had a small reception dinner after our wedding in April. We were told time and again how great the food was and we were not disappointed. Carrie Maxwell, (F&B mgr), went above and beyond to make our evening special. The views were beautiful, the staff was very polite and knowledgable, and the selections of both beef and seafood were met with praise from all of our guests! Job well done. We would highly recommend for anyone wanting an excellent dinner in Lake Tahoe.

Dory's Oar Restaurant
1041 Fremont Ave, South Lake Tahoe, Kingsbury,
The restaurant is in transition. But we weren't informed until we tried ordering seafood that is on the website menu and on the printed menues only to be told that the restaurant's only seafood was battered fried prawns as an appetizer. My husband had called in the morning to make a reservation and was told that it wasn't necessary. We were very surprised when we entered the restaurant to see a party of 20 , a party of 15, and the back room was occupied by a wedding party. This left 3 deuce tables along the windows. The restaurant is very stark, absolutely no ambiance. I will go back in one month to see what the transition has brought. I have enjoyed seafood dinners here over many years and hope the new owner doesn't make a drastic transition.

Edgewood Restaurant
180 Lake Pkwy, Stateline, Kingsbury,
The atmosphere was wonderful. The room has two levels with each table having its own un-obstructed view of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The food was amazing and service was prompt and extremely polite. With appetizers, soup, salad, entrees, and coffee and dessert I walked out spending only a little over $100 with tip, but would have gladly paid double for the level of service and quality of service that we received.

Heidi's Pancake House
3485 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, Kingsbury,
After checking reviews on Yahoo Travel, we decided to check out Heidi's for breakfast. It was definitely the right choice! The short stack of pancakes (with four, rather than the full stack of six) was plenty, even for someone with a big appetite. I had the buttermilk pancakes, but they also offered a wheat (buckwheat, perhaps) as well. They were excellent and were served with warm maple syrup. The house coffee was pretty tastey as well, and that comes from someone quite choosey about coffee. The menu offered quite a bit of choice including crepes, belgian waffles, pancakes, omlettes, and lunch items for those not into breakfast (such as my husband - who had a fabulous looking cheeseburger). Go to Heidi's and you won't be disappointed!
